Questions

  • What happens in a consultation?

In your first consultation (which usually takes about 75-90 minutes), I’ll take a detailed health history, explore your current symptoms, lifestyle and goals, and begin to develop a personalised treatment plan. Follow-up appointments are shorter and allow us to monitor your progress and adjust your plan as needed.

  • Can naturopathy work alongside conventional medicine?

Yes, it can. I often work with clients who are undergoing conventional treatment or taking medication. I take care to ensure that any natural therapies I recommend are safe and appropriate, and I’m happy to communicate with your medical team if you'd like an integrated approach.

  • What are your fees, and can I claim through private health insurance?

Consultation fees vary depending on the appointment type and length. Private health insurance has been reinstated for naturopaths as of 2025, and this is gradually filtering through to private insurance schemes. I recommend checking with your insurer to see what you're eligible for.

  • What health concerns can you help with?

I work with a wide range of health concerns from everyday issues like fatigue, stress and poor sleep, to more complex or chronic conditions. Patients come to see me for support with digestive discomfort, hormonal imbalances, low energy, mood fluctuations, immune support, or to take a more proactive approach to their long-term health.

I also have a special focus on:
Metabolic and Thyroid Support – including sluggish metabolism, weight resistance, Hashimoto’s and thyroid dysfunction.
Women’s Hormonal Health – particularly, perimenopause and menopausal transition.
Digestive Wellness – such as IBS, bloating, reflux, constipation, food sensitivities and gut inflammation.
Healthy Ageing – supporting energy, metabolic and other health aspects as we age.
Cancer Care – offering holistic, evidence-informed support during and after cancer treatment, to improve wellbeing and quality of life.

Whether you're managing a diagnosis, or just not feeling your best, I offer a personalised, whole-person approach to help you feel more balanced, energised and in control of your health.

  • Is it safe to work with a naturopath if I have cancer?

Yes — when done with care and appropriate training, naturopathic support can be a safe and valuable part of your cancer journey. I offer evidence-informed, integrative care that works alongside your oncology treatment, never in place of it.

    My approach focuses on:
    – Supporting your strength, energy and immune system
    – Managing side effects like nausea, fatigue or digestive issues
    – Supporting emotional wellbeing and stress resilience
    – Helping you recover and rebuild after treatment

I always take into account your diagnosis, current treatments, medications and medical advice. My role is to complement , not replace your medical care, and I’m happy to liaise with your healthcare team to ensure everything works together safely. All recommendations are tailored specifically to your needs and based on the best available evidence.
