RGCC liquid-biopsy panels analyse biomarkers in a blood sample, such as circulating tumour cells and tumour-related genetic material. Depending on the panel, they may provide information relevant to tumour-cell characteristics, circulating tumour-cell monitoring or laboratory responses to selected drugs and natural compounds. Liquid biopsy is an emerging area of oncology that may provide additional information about a cancer’s biology and, in some settings, help clinicians consider treatment options.

However, these tests cannot diagnose every cancer, rule out cancer, guarantee which treatment will work, or predict an individual outcome. Results must be interpreted alongside your pathology, scans, tumour markers and oncology advice.
